Dear sir, I have read with interest the article by Iqbal MR.[1] I would like to highlight the fact that immunity to coronavirus is still a mystery to some extent. The potpourri of antibodies, cells, and other markers responsible for providing protection is still unknown. We seem to be on a trajectory towards herd immunity despite no official acknowledgment that this is the country’s default approach to combat this pandemic.[2] Moreover, the government remains a divided house on this matter too. As a result, COVID 19 has started behaving a lot like the once in a century pathogen.[3] This virus is basically a test of how well states are run. Well, I think that diplomatic efforts to drive international collaboration is the need of the hour. This pandemic is a threat but also a wake-up call. Our future undoubtedly depends on how all of us respond to this pandemic. Thank you.
